Terms of Use
Effective date: October 2026
Please read these Terms of Use (“Terms”) before creating a PrepDesk account or using our web application at prepdesk.site (the “Service”). By signing in or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What PrepDesk Is
PrepDesk (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an online tool that lets reviewers (a review center or review organizer) run exam review courses for their students, with practice tests and mock exams. Each course and its questions are created by the reviewer running it, not by PrepDesk.
Contact: [email protected], Iligan City, Philippines.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Service only if you:
- Are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must agree to these Terms for you.
- Are able to enter into a binding agreement under Philippine law.
- Have not previously been removed from the Service.
Accounts created by bots, scripts, or other automated means are not allowed.
3. Accounts and Courses
a) Your account
- Sign up with a valid email address or with Google Sign-In.
- Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person. Do not share your login.
b) Joining a course
- To use a course, you must join it. Depending on how the reviewer set up the course, you join directly, with a code from the reviewer, or after the reviewer approves you.
- The reviewer decides who can access their course and for how long, and may remove students from it.
c) Fees and payments
- Any fee for a course is set and collected by the reviewer, not by PrepDesk. PrepDesk does not process payments.
- Questions about fees or refunds are between you and the reviewer.
d) Roles
- Students use the practice tests and mock exams in the courses they join.
- Course administrators (the review center or review organizer running a course) manage its students, content, and settings.
- Content reviewers write and check questions for a course, as assigned by its administrator.
4. Your Conduct
You agree not to:
- Copy, redistribute, or publish a course’s questions, explanations, or other content outside the Service without the reviewer’s permission.
- Use the Service to pass answers to anyone during an actual examination.
- Try to get around, disable, or break any security feature.
- Scrape or use automated tools to extract content from the Service.
- Upload malicious code, or content that infringes another person’s rights.
- Pretend to be someone else or misrepresent your connection to any person or organization.
- Use the Service in a way that breaks any law, including the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173) and the Cybercrime Prevention Act (RA 10175).
We may remove content, or suspend or close an account, if we believe these rules were broken.
5. Reviewers’ Responsibilities
If you run a course on PrepDesk, you are responsible for:
- The questions, explanations, and materials you add, including having the right to use them.
- Checking that your questions and answers are correct.
- Using your students’ information only to run your course, in line with the Data Privacy Act.
6. Content Ownership
a) PrepDesk
The PrepDesk software and design belong to PrepDesk. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable permission to use the Service to prepare for exams or to run your review courses.
b) Reviewers’ content
Questions, topics, explanations, and other course content stay the property of the reviewer who added them. You allow PrepDesk to store and show that content to the students and staff of your course, only to run the Service. If you use the AI question tool, the material you upload is sent to OpenAI to draft questions.
7. Availability and Results
We try to keep the Service available, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause, or stop parts of the Service, with notice where we can. PrepDesk is a study tool: it does not guarantee any exam result, and practice questions may not reflect the questions on an actual exam.
8. No Warranties
To the extent allowed by Philippine law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by Philippine law, PrepDesk is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including exam results. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Philippine law.
10. Ending Your Use
You may ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms. When your account is closed, you can no longer use the Service.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines. Disputes will be brought before the proper courts of Iligan City, Philippines. Before going to court, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the matter.
12. Changes to These Terms
If we change these Terms, we will update the date at the top. For significant changes, we will also tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
